Assessment 3

Over  the course of MPI104 I maintained my blog by posting whenever I got sick of the study I was doing at the time. This is the reason that the general subject of my posts is study and how I find it aggravating that to learn you must study, absorbing it through osmosis would be much easier or simply downloading it. This however is not the way it works and thus we must study to gain higher education.
I spent some time for the first assessment playing with design. Somewhere along the way I decided that the background image made it hard to keep focused on the text you where reading. To solve this problem I have made the background simple and put solid colour boxes around my posts and menus.
I have included RSS feeds from Zero punctuation and the escapist websites (game reviews and the such) as well as a feed from Aidan’s blog. The fish are still there as well as a slideshow from flickr. At the bottom of the page is the hit counter, amazingly already at over 200... and an excerpt from a heated discussion I had with a vet student about the definition of an assessment.

My delicious account has 18 links in 4 stacks.
MPI104 stack with links to;
Master blog
My blog
My flickr
My webpage
Official Go Pro website
W3 Schools
Cracked
This is why I’m broke
Think Geek
Facebook
Zero Punctuation
MFSRBF Facebook page
MFSRBF website
Wild Fillies
Border Mail
Animation forum
IMDB

And my Flickr page has seen use for uploading my animation Work In Progress, so has mostly pictures and videos of vfx related content. Also I have posted pictures of “places I’d rather be” and “things I’d rather be doing” to link to from my blog.

Along the way I have learnt a great deal more HTML than I ever thought I would bother with. My webpage shows some use of this knowledge. I think with a little practise I could manage a more detailed webpage with more design elements ect. I have also learnt about the online community and maintaining a positive identity in this community using Blogger and flickr as well as delicious and other online resource (animation forum.)
